About Us
The Carolinas Unit of NC, Unit #021 of WBCCI, started in October 1960, just five years after WBCCI began. Carolinas Unit is a vibrant organization of caring and active Airstreamers. Members include full-time workers, young parents, grandparents, full-time travelers, old-timers, and newbies. Most of our members live throughout NC and northern SC and our we plan activities to ensure at least one or two luncheons and rallies are near every member’s area. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the warmest group of RVers in the area, or learning about and enjoying RVing, or making friends, or helping others is welcome to visit us at our next activity (see Events Schedule).
WBCCI is the RV Club of Airstream 
Owners. It is named for Wally Byam who was the inventor of the Airstream travel trailer and founder of Wally Byam Caravan Club International, the Airstream RV owners association. It is a nonprofit organization with headquarters in Jackson Center, Ohio. The goal of the club was to foster Fun, Fellowship, and Adventure as members enjoyed the lifestyle offered by traveling in an Airstream.
If you own any trailer or motorhome manufactured by Airstream, Inc., WBCCI offers you fun and exciting opportunities to enjoy your Airstream and the RV Lifestyle. Whether you are traveling with your children or have retired to travel the world, you can do it best in the oldest and finest RV association, the Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI).
