This event has concluded, see you at the next rally!

Join us on a 1,100-acre park of rolling hills, original forests and open pastures along the banks of the Yadkin River. You’ll enjoy great camping activities like golfing, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, boating, and picnics. The park also has great trails to run or bike ride as well as a Tanglewoof Dog Park . The RV campground is secluded from the sports activities and playgrounds offered within the park, but also has easy access to any and all of these amenities.

Agenda for Tanglewood Rally

Welcome to Winston-Salem and Tanglewood Park!
  • Upon arrival you will receive a package with a Winston-Salem Wine and Dine guide listing local restaurants including some in the Tanglewood area. There will be many of us at the rally who are “locals” who can recommend favorite restaurants.
  • There will also be a Winston-Salem magazine in your arrival package listing lots of activities in the area. Tanglewood Park itself has golf courses (18 hole and par 3), paddleboats, horseback riding, and a great walking and running trail. There are several wineries in the area, Old Salem, Reynolda House and Gardens (former home of R. J. Reynolds), art galleries, trails for hiking and biking, and lots more.
  • During the rally week, the Dixie Classic Fair is in town at the fairgrounds. There are lots of food, exhibits, entertainment, animals, and thrill rides for those who want to brave them! For more information see dcfair.com. Admission is free for seniors 65 and older, but parking is not so keep that in mind if you want to attend.
  • The musical Mamma Mia is playing at our little theater next week. For information on showtimes and tickets, see thelittletheatreofws.org.
  • Looking at the long term forecast a week ahead it looks like sunny skies and temps in the low 80s! Look forward to seeing everyone.
